Our Vision

At HATS were focused on the health, fitness, well-being and happiness of our rural community. Many years ago I realized that there was a need for a local fitness and wellness center that could address the variety of needs of our community members without having to drive over an hour one-way. My dream is to create an aquatic center that not only improves fitness and wellness goals, but supports our community through employment opportunities, cutting tax burdens, educational and safety classes, school programs, a social space and much more. I would love for you to join in making this dream come true for us now and for future generations

Gary Goodwin

Over the years I have trained bodybuilders, figure competitors, people that just want to be fit both young and old. A lot of the training I do today is working with people post knee and hip replacements, muscle surgery, back, heart and weakness issues, MS, Parkinson’s, and obesity. For the last seven years I have been working diligently to bring to life my dream of a local and affordable aquatic center for our rural VT and NH communities. I would love for you to join me on this mission and help create an aquatic center that will serve the health, wellness, and fitness needs of our community now and for future generations to come.

I have been involved in the health/fitness and athletics industry for the past decade. Not only do I enjoy the aspect of training and coaching others, I also compete in competitive sports.  One of the many areas that are a necessity and very important is recovery and maintenance. Throughout my career as an athlete and infantry soldier in the U.S. Army, nothing has been truer. Through my own injuries I have found a lack of aquatics in which I needed for my own recovery. This brings me to joining the board at H.A.T.S. in which I have a burning desire and belief in this organization. I believe in our mission and the many lives this will effect in a positive way!
